Byron Falls High School Class of 2015
Brandon’s house is a compromise between his mother and father. His mother allowed Brandon’s father to choose the house, but she would get to “redecorate” the inside. This is an example of The Prairie Style Architecture. The house was built in the early 1900s and was based on one of the original ranch houses that was on the land that became Byron Falls.
Brandon’s mother completely redid the interior. She gave the house a very modern, but minimalist look. She utilized Japanese Zen philosophy to design the layout and furnishing. This has created a home that is very different on the inside from what is seen on the outside.
The interior has traditional Japanese touches, but also has american style furnishings for guests as well. The overall affect is to create an environment that is welcoming to guests, but still retains the traditional feel that is important to his mother.
The house is huge. The upstairs is where his father’s office is, the bedrooms and everything else that is private. Brandon’s Studio is in the area over the garage. There is an entrance from the garage as well as from the house.
