31 October. All Hallow’s Eve. Samhain. Halloween. It’s a time when the good kids dress up in costumes and extort candy from their neighbors. It’s a time when bad kids T.P. homes and perform drive-by pumpkin and jack o’lantern smashing. It’s a time for all ages to share scarey stories.

But in Byron Falls Halloween is something more. It is a day when the town becomes truly cut off. Roads and rail are unaccessible. Phone and internet is down. Every year. Every. Year.

What causes this forced isolation seems different every year, which might explain why adults don’t seem to notice the pattern. Or maybe it’s the fact that most adults continue to live here precisely because of the year-round isolation, so any extra isolation is of no big concern. Whatever the reason, only the youth of Byron Falls seem to notice this pattern and consider it worthy of note.

Secrets that only thoses Un-Veiled know are two things: There is Always a Full Moon on Hallowee, and Supernaturals tend to “Take The Night Off”. Only they know what the truely means though…
